The Alpha cutlery set has thicker handles than the AlphaLight series, but is still very lightweight. The hard anodizing creates an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. In addition, the sets hardened shell encloses the aluminum, eliminating the risk of the alloy dissolving into food.
